Newly identified drug suspect falls

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu was recovered from a man in a drug buy- bust operation at Canetown Subdivisio­n i n Barangay 19-A, Victorias City, Negros Occidental, police said.

The 22- year- old Clyde Ramirez is a newly identified drug personalit­y, according to Victorias City police head Chief Inspector Eduardo Corpuz.

Ramirez was caught around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday after he allegedly sold shabu to an undercover police officer for P400.

A total of four sachets containing suspected shabu worth about P5,000 were recovered from Ramirez.

Aside from these, drug parapherna­lia, two cellphones and P300 cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactio­ns were seized from the suspect.

Ramirez, detained in the lockup cell of the Victorias City police station, was facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./
