Mathematic­s: Dealing with the new normal in Education

The year 2020 has brought many changes into our lives. From the way we interact with other people and the way we live in general.

Dealing with 2020 has been all hard for all of us. Because of the pandemic many of us has lost their jobs, has bankrupt businesses, and worst is that when we lost a love of our life. But, this does not mean life will miserable forever. We, humans, we are really good in adapting to changes.

Education has no exemption with comes to these changes. Education needs to change its way of teaching just to continue deliver knowledge for a brighter future ahead of our young people.

For instance, from traditiona­l face to face learning, education has been divided into three categories as per distance learning is concerned. The alternativ­es have been designed to produce holistic quality education as per what resources is available in the student’s end.

Teaching mathematic­s in this new normal is not easier. The new normal in education has invented the use of online classes, printed modules, and radio/television based approaches. These are quietly different from the type of learning before since it affects many aspect such as learning style, psychosoci­al, and even parents’ effort in making distance learning possible.

It must have been a tough year for all of us. Covid-19 selects people of any age and any status. But as far as others say ‘life goes on’, all sacrifices and hard work will soon pay off just believe in yourself and that everything has a purpose.
