BEING a teacher is not an easy job. Being a teacher requires great passion to help someone transform their lives and willingness to sacrifice for the sake of other people.

In this society, teachers are arguably the most important members of our society. Teachers’ role in this world is so noble that they deserve to get high compensations since their job is not only to share knowledge but most importantly to transform lives.

Likewise, when this pandemic happened, educators and teachers are assigned with a hard task to come up with alternative plans so that Filipino learners would still be able to get formal and sufficient education amidst Covid-19 outbreak.

Another new role that teachers are playing in this pandemic is being a counselor for parents. Well, basically parents and teachers have already been communicating before, but their connection will be more tested during this period of time since parents will likely to take the role of teachers.

Good communication with their pupil’s parents allows them to have good monitoring since parents will be updated on the progress of their children.

And lastly, teachers nowadays can also have better engagement with their pupils since the use of social media is no longer new to us. Taking advantage of the social media platforms will help them to counsel learners as they grow and mature – helping them integrate their social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Always think a teacher because in this world that we live in, teachers are the front liner not only in education but rather in becoming better citizens of our respective nation.
