As sure as the sun, as intense as the summer heat

BEFORE COVID – 19 the months of March and April were busy months for schools celebrating graduation, moving up and recognition activities. For two school years celebrations are not as pompous as it used to be. Yet, teachers remain steadfast and committed to facilitate, recognize and celebrate learners’ triumphs and achievements. Public schools for the current school year 2020-2021 will end in July. The months of April and May will no longer be vacation months for teachers but intense months of project learn implementation, enhancement and interventions to assist learners improve their performance.
The new normal in education is doing well due to committed teachers. The need for continuing quality education amidst the challenges of the pandemic is dependent on teachers’ commitment. Commitment is the core of teacher’s contribution to learners’ achievement and school goals, and in turn creates quality education. Committed teachers love teaching and work with learners and their parents through building good relationships with them and showing them respect.
Committed t eachers’ work steadfastly, consistently with the intensity of summer heat. The intensity of their dedication like summer is reliable, warm and bright. The tenacity of their spirit is warm and infectious. Teacher’s commitment is the best virus in these trying times. The virus of commitment affects other education stakeholders take active roles with the new normal in education. Teacher commitment infects parents to keep track and facilitate their children’s education. Teachers continue to effect desired changes among learners, their parents and the community with their unwavering commitment. Their commitment is as reliable as the sun that shines. Their commitment is intense, bright and hopeful like summer. Their love for teaching remains steadfast and keeps burning. Their dedication continuously gets intense as the years go by like summer heat. Learners bloom like summer flowers tended well by committed teachers.
