Iloilo restricts travel of non-residents
ILOILO – This province has restricted the inbound travel of non- residents. Yesterday, Gov. Arthur Defensor J r. issued Executive Order No. 263, Series of 2021 imposing such restriction to prevent coronavirus transmission.
Those allowed to travel here are authorized persons outside residence ( APORs), returning residents, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and residents of Iloilo City and Guimaras.
APORs include health and emergency frontline services
personnel; g overnment officials and government f rontline personnel; duly authorized humanitarian assistance actors ( HAAs); persons traveling for medical or humanitarian reasons especially those transporting medical s u p p l i e s a n d laboratory specimens related to COVID-19, and other relief humanitarian assistance; persons going to and from the airport; persons crossing zones for work or business permitted i n the zone of destinations, or activities as
may be authorized by the IATF, and going back home; and public utility vehicle operators.
Moreover, residents of the province returning from Aklan, Capiz, Antique, Negros Occidental, and Bacolod City shall be subject to the following requirements:
* asymptomatic * be examined for symptoms upon arrival at the border, and those found with COVID- 19 symptoms shall be admitted in the appropriate facility for quarantine and treatment
* valid government issued ID showing proof of residence such as: Voter’s I D Card issued by the Commission on Elections ( Comelec); Philippine Passport; Unified Multi- Purpose ID ( UMID) Card; Postal ID Card; Tax Identification Number ( TIN) Card; I nter- Agency Task Force IATF IDs issued by the regulatory agencies with jurisdiction over permitted establishments or persons; Valid IDs or other pertinent documentation i ssued by accredited organizations
or establishments; and any government i s s ued I D/ Certificate showing proof of residence
* notice of coordination ( NOC) wit h t h e c i t y / municipality of destination
Returning residents are also advised to register and secure a permit from the Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage ( S- PaSS) travel and mobility management system starting July 22.
Defensor said returning residents can present their government issued IDs.
On t h e o t h e r h a n d ,
returning residents of Iloilo City and Guimaras entering the province, traveling from within Region 6 for passage en route to their respective home LGUs, shall also be required of the above-mentioned government issued ID/certificate.
APORs and returning residents going to and from the airport are required to present government i s s ued I Ds, airline tickets and other travel requirements/documents.
Border controls in Capiz and Antique were also put up./
