THE MOST CONSEQUENTIAL POLITICO IN ANTIQUE RIGHT NOW
DURING his recent Jan. 17 birthday, former Antique congressman Toto
Paolo Javier received a delicious birthday cake from – of all people – Cong. AA Javier and Sen. Loren.
The Legarda siblings gifting Toto Paolo with a cake was a surprising move. It is public knowledge that in the 2019 elections, Inday Loren was elected congresswoman of the province at the expense of Toto Paolo’s father Boy Ex, a former governor and congressman. And in the 2022 elections, AA defeated Toto Paolo for congressman.
Was the cake a peace offering? How sweet naman, no?
Also on Jan. 17, a surprise birthday guest came over to personally greet Toto Paolo – Gov. Dodod Cadiao. Ayon sa aming bubuwit, the two hugged each other, plus beso-beso. Wow ha…
Inday Dodod’s visit was the biggest surprise, ayon sa aming bubuwit.
That’s because in the 2019 polls, then reelectionist Gov. Dodod defeated challenger Toto Paolo.
Did the visit mean all is now well between the two? They are, after all, relatives. Inday Dodod’s mother was a Javier.
Keen political observers say there is more than meets the eye in the pa- birthday cake of the Legardas and the personal visit of Inday Dodod. These moves kuno may be interpreted as political courtship. After all, the Javiers remain a strong political force in Antique as they have a solid base of loyalists nurtured for three long decades.
Cong. AA and Gov. Dodod kuno need the support of the Javiers to do well in the 2025 polls. Cong. AA is widely expected to seek reelection with
Inday Dodod as his biggest challenger.
Assuming that Toto Paolo is not anymore interested to run for congressman, who will he support? This support will make a big difference.
Abangan!
Say mo, Toto Ray Roquero?
Inday Sally “dies-dies” laughing!
