Japan B.League: Ravena, Shiga suffer back-to-back losses

MANILA – Ilonggo Kiefer Ravena and Shiga Lakes sustained t hei r second consecutiv­e defeat in Japan B.League Division 2 as they bowed to Kumamoto Volters, 104-101, on Wednesday night at the YMIT Arena.

The former NLEX Road Warriors guard finished with 18 points, including three outside shots, to go with four assists, three rebounds, and a steal as the Lakes dropped to a 25-10 record.

Aaron White carried the fight for the Volters with a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds; Jamel McLean added 22 points and 10 boards; and Shota Yamamoto and Ren Nagashima had 20 and 15, respective­ly, as they improved to a 25-10 record.

Ryan Kriener top- scored for the Lakes with 35 points to go with seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists, while Brock Motum chipped in 24 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.

Meanwh i l e , G r egory Slaughter and Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka notched their second consecutiv­e victory as they took down Bambitious Nara at the ROHTO Arena in Nara.

The former Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings slotman logged in just four minutes in the contest and converted two free throws as Fukuoka improved to a 23-12 record in the standings.

Bryce Washington finished with a double- double of 22 points and 10 rebounds; Pablo Aguilar added 19 points and 16 rebounds; and Shuki Shigetomi and Takayuki Kodama ended with 11 and 10, respective­ly.
