A trailblazing leader at the center of DepEd Region VI has set off a revolutionary voyage that will empower school administrators, encourage creativity, and mold education for the future. Under the direction of Regional Director Dr. Ramir B. Uytico, CESO III, the School Head Academy (SHA) is a ground-breaking program that reimagines leadership in our schools.
The Establishment of SHA
Dr. Uytico is aware that a school’s ability to lead effectively is essential to its students’ success. As per the provisions of Regional Memorandum No. 339, s. The goal of 2021 is to support school leaders’ vision, improve their competencies, and provide them with the resources they need to adapt to the constantly changing nature of the educational sector.
What is the School Head Academy (SHA)? The SHA is more than just a training program; it’s an experience that takes you beyond the classroom.
Here are some of the things that you can expect from it:
1. Selective Admissions: The SHA accepts qualified scholars from each of the 20 Schools Division Offices (SDOs) in Region VI. These scholars set out on a transformative journey under the guidance of the SHA Framework.
2. Comprehensive Curriculum: The SHA curriculum covers leadership, management, and technical-functional competencies. It is aligned with the desired values of a school head. 3. Re-Entry Action Plans: Each participant creates a school-based re-entry action plan—a project that addresses immediate challenges within their respective schools.
3. Financial Support: The SHA provides full financial support to master’s or doctorate candidates. Identified sponsoring agencies or institutions ensure that these educational leaders receive the necessary resources.
Influence and Goals
The goals of Dr. Uytico go beyond specific school administrators. His goal is to create a network of learning champions, or innovative, inspiring, and excellence-driven school leaders. This is how SHA affects learning:
1. Learning Champions: SHA graduates emerge as learning champions. They bridge theory and practice, infusing their schools with fresh ideas, evidence-based practices, and a commitment to student-centered learning.
2. Change Agents: Armed with greater knowledge, SHA alumni become change agents. They spearhead innovations, implement best practices, and create collaboration among teachers, parents, and students.
3. Inspirational Leaders: The leaders that Dr. Uytico cultivates are the ones who will carry on his legacy. These principals have a domino effect that changes the educational system in addition to their schools.
The School Head Academy Innovation founded by Dr. Ramir B. Uytico is a ray of hope for Philippine education. He fosters a culture of continuous improvement one in which innovation flourishes and students achieve by empowering school heads. Let’s honor his steadfast dedication to developing the leaders who mold our educational system.
