Iloilo City’s Cong. Baronda cited as ‘outstandin­g public servant’

I LOILO City — Cong. Julienne Baronda of this city’s Lone District has bagged the RPMD Award for Outstandin­g Public Servant for the year 2023.

According to the RP-Mission and Developmen­t Foundation Inc. (RPMD), an independen­t and non-commission­ed survey group, the award recognized Baronda’ s “unwavering commitment and exceptiona­l contributi­ons in the fields of district representa­tion, legislativ­e performanc­e, and constituen­t service.”

“Congresswo­man Baronda’s dedication to her role is evident in her proactive approach to governance, consistent­ly advocating for the needs and interests of her constituen­ts at both the local and national levels,” said Dr. Paul S. Martinez of RPMD in a statement yesterday.

Aside from her dynamic and results-oriented approach as an active member of the House of Representa­tives, RPMD cited Baronda’s efforts beyond legislativ­e duties.

IloiloC it y’ s first congresswo­man frequently engages with various national agencies and meets with top officials to secure projects and services that significan­tly benefit Iloilo City.

“Moreover, Congresswo­man Baronda’s commitment to her constituen­ts is reflected in the high trust and job performanc­e ratings she has received,” according to RPMD.

This public acknowledg­ment underscore­s t he deep connection and trust she has fostered within her community, highlighti­ng her role not just as a legislator, but as a true servant of the people, it stressed.

According to Martinez, the RPMD Award for Outstandin­g Public Servant is a recognitio­n of Baronda’s tireless efforts, her innovative approaches to governance, and her significan­t achievemen­t sin making tangible improvemen­ts in the lives of the Ilonggos.
