Comelec-Bacolod’s satellite registrati­on starts

BA COL OD City– Commission on Elections (Comelec) satellite registrati­on in this city’s barangays kicked off this Saturday, Feb. 17.

City Come lec officer Kathrina Trinio-Caña said the barangay registrati­on will run until April 20.

The schedule and venue are as follows:

* Feb. 17 – Barangay Pahanocoy at Pahanocoy Covered Court

* Feb. 24 – Barangay Banago at Banago Elementary School Covered Court

* March 1 – Barangay Mandalagan at Mandalagan Barangay Hall

* March 2 – Barangay Aliis at Alijis Barangay Gymnasium

* March 9 – Barangay Punta-Taytay at Pta. Taytay

Barangay Hall

* March 15 – Barangay Bata at Bata Brangay Gymnasium (Purok Marapara)

* March 16 – Barangay Mansilinga­n at Mansilinga­n Barangay Gymnasium

* March 22 – Barangay Felisa at Felisa Gymnasium

* March 23 – Barangay Ta cu ling at G on zag a Gymnasium

* April 6 – Barangay Villamonte at Villamonte Barangay Gymnasium

* April 13 – Barangay Singcang-Airport at J.R. Torres Elementary School Covered Court

* April 20 – Barangay Tangub at Bar an gay Gymnasium (Ramylu Drive).

Residents of the said bar an gay scan file their applicatio­n for registrati­on, transfer, reactivati­on, and correction of entry.

Trinio- Caña s aid no registrati­on will be conducted at the Comelec office during the satellite registrati­on schedule.

She added that about 600 applicatio­ns will be accommodat­ed, including senior citizens and persons with disabiliti­es, and that it is exclusive only to the residents of the scheduled barangay.

The Comelec started accepting applicatio­ns for voter registrati­on on Feb. 12 at their office on San Juan Street, while the Registrati­on Anywhere Program (RAP) is exclusivel­y accepted at the Government Services Express (GSE) in SM City, here./
