335,155 WV learners pre-register for SY 2024-2025
I LOILO City – The Department of Education (DepEd) Region 6 has so far recorded 335,155 learners in Western Visayas who have registered early for the School Year (SY) 2024-2025.
Public schools’ early registration for incoming kindergarten, and grades 1, 7 and 11 learners began on January 27 and ended on February 23.
Incoming Grade 1 learners recorded the most number of registrants at 95,384, followed by Grade 11 (86,930), Grade 7 (86,808), and kindergarten (67,033).

* San Carlos City – 3,616 * Silay City – 5,355 * Sipalay City – 4,784 * Victorias City – 4,328 Hernani Escullar Jr ., DepEd-6 regional information officer, said the number of early registrants would still go up as encoding of schools of Basic Education Enrollment Forms submitted by parents or guardians is still ongoing.
Early registration of l earners, Escullar said, is important for DepEd to allocate resources and plan out necessary measures for the start of SY 2024-2025.
