Stress is normal to some extent. Additionally, healthy stress reactions from experiences like switching schools and making new acquaintances can actually aid pupils in growing and learning. But stress can become emotionally and physically poisonous if it is subjected to a number of stressful situations without the means to manage it.
A lot of things can trigger a learners’ stress especially during this pandemic. Stress can lead to many bad things if not managed properly. That’s why during the new normal mode of education, teachers are reminding the parents or the pupils’ guardian to always be there for the kids and not let them go through any challenges that can lead to stress, anxiety, or even depression.
Upcoming tests are one of the reasons why pupils are undergoing stress and can cause certain panic attacks. If there are multiple tests coming up, many pupils fret about achieving a good score or just finding the time to study. Test anxiety doesn’t simply impact struggling learners; high achievers frequently worry a lot about performing well on exams. A hefty workload can also be a significant source of stress for pupils, whether it is due to advanced-level classes or the quantity of studying necessary.
Learners who don’t get enough sleep find it challenging to focus and learn well. When a child is unable to perform well in class or on assignments, this can cause worry in them. According to research, pupils who don’t get the recommended 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night are more likely to experience stress than those who do.
Even if it’s only perceived, a lack of support from parents or instructors can cause children a lot of stress. They can believe that they are being held to a high standard yet lack the necessary emotional or material support to fulfill those expectations. Highachieving students in particular may experience stress from this source.
