-

They said preventing it involves taking steps to keep your body cool and wellhydrated. Here are some tips they shared to this corner:

* Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, to maintain good hydration. Avoid alcoholic and caffeinated beverages as they can dehydrate you.

* Wear Lightweight, Loose-Fitting Clothing – Choose light-colored and loose-fitting clothing to help keep your body cool.

* Use Sunscreen – Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from the sun’s rays. Reapply as recommended, especially if you’re swimming or sweating.

* Seek Shade – Whenever possible, stay in shaded areas or use an umbrella. This is particularly important during the hottest parts of the day, usually from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

* Take Cool Showers or Baths – Taking a cool shower or bath can help lower your body temperature if you’re feeling hot.

* Avoid Strenuous Activities During Hot Weather – If you need to do heavy outdoor tasks, try to do them during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late evening.

* Use Fans or Air Conditioning – Stay in air-conditioned buildings during heat waves if possible. If air conditioning is not available, use fans to help circulate air.

* Eat Light – Opt for lighter meals that don’t require your body to work as hard to digest. Heavy meals can increase your body temperature.

Thus, for your sake and those of your loved ones, follow and spread these tips far and wide. You don’t know how many precious lives you will be saving.
