MANILA – A lone bettor of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) lotto draws have allegedly won 20 times in a month.

Sen. Raffy Tulfo revealed on Tuesday as chair of the Senate Games and Amusement Committee that this was one of the anomalies he discovered from the list of lotto draw winners submitted by the PCSO to his committee.

“‘ Yung PCSO nagbigay ho sa akin ng listahan. Ito nga po ang sabi ko medyo nakakataas ng kilay, meron doon isang tao nanalo ng 20 times in one month. Meron dun 10 times in one month,” Tulfo said in an interview with DZBB on Tuesday.

“Siguro baka magka pangalan pero still pare-pareho ‘yung premyo ang pin ana lu nan ... Paul it-u lit in one month... Lalong tumambak ang mga questions,” he added.

Tulfo further said that he is in favor of the proposal to temporarily suspend the lotto draws following several controversies that erodes the trust of the public on PCSO.

“Agree ako (sa suspension of lotto draw). Kasi lately

talagang tumataas nang tumataas ‘ yung trust issues especially nagkaroon ng glitch.

Ngayon daw, tuwing lotto draw may tumatama. Medyo nakakaduda iyan,” Tulfo said.

“Ba kittu wing draw,

may nananalo na? Ngayon, walang mintis. Samantalang nu’ng panahon na wala pa tong e-lotto, ang tagal bago panalunan. Inaabot ng isang buwan, dalawang buwan,” he added.

Melquiades Robles, PCSO general manager and vice chairman, said in a separate interview with the same radio station that he was not aware of Tulfo’s revelation as he is not personally looking at the list of winners.

“Sa totoo, I would not know. Hindi ko nga tinitignan. Ako personally, hindi ko tinitignan ‘yung list ng winners,” Robles said. “Pero I will check. I will look into that kung mayroong ganon na nanalo ng 20 times.”

The PC SO, on early February, submitted to the Senate the list of names of lotto winners from July 2023 to January 30, 2024, as requested by the committee of Tulfo.

Aside from the list of lotto winners, the PCSO also submitted what it called an “alpha list” or record of taxes that were paid by the jackpot winners from July 1, 2023 to December 2023.

The Senate committee has been investigating the recent PCSO games amid allegations of ““manipulation” and senators’ questions on the frequent winnings of lotto games with huge amounts of jackpot prizes./
