CONG. JAM-JAM’S SILENCE VERY DEAFENING AND INTRIGUING

MAYOR Jerry dropped Cong. Jam-jam like a hot potato from Team Uswag. It was very swift and cold-blooded.

Many expected a ferocious reaction from Inday Jam-jam who has always been a happy supporter of Mayor Jerry. But they were disappointed. She instead issued a very calm, collected and non-combative public statement respectful of Mayor Jerry.

So what’s the next move of Iloilo City’s pioneering congresswoman who is still eligible for a third consecutive term?

Keen political observers find it intriguing that Inday Jam-jam’s public statement was silent on this.

What Cong. Jam-jam left unanswered is what’s the loudest that political analysts heard. She did not say she was hurt or disappointed or betrayed. She certainly did not say she was quitting politics.

She did not categorically state that she was not seeking reelection. She also did not say she would be running for another elective position.

In the view of political analysts, Inday Jam-jam is leaving herself open to so many unpredictable possibilities; she is keeping her cards close to her chest and could spring a surprise anytime.

Some say the axing of Cong. Jam-jam from Team Uswag has left her politically weak, citing the claimed that “almost 100 percent” of barangay captains support Mayor Jerry’s decision. But other say the ordinary hoi polloi of Iloilo City may hold a view different from those of their barangay leaders.

Is it also true that someone or some groups would come forward and bankroll Inday Jam-jam? Masadya ini!
