ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER

CONG. JAM-JAM has kept her silence since Mayor Jerry Treñas announced his political split from her over a week ago. She has tactfully declined to answer media queries about it, even citing the Holy Week as a time better spent for silent reflection.

But if actions speak louder than words, then Inday Jam-jam is certainly making loud and bold signals, according to keen political observers.

During the recent releasing of financial, livelihood and educational assistance to needy Iloilo City residents, dala gihapon ni Inday Jam-jam si Mayor Jerry sa programa, never failing to mention him and speaking glowing words about him.

The hardworking Iloilo City congresswoman also posted something very interesting on her Facebook page over the weekend. She greeted Mayor Jerry and First Lady Rosalie a very happy 40th wedding anniversary. She even posted a photo of the lovely First Couple.

This is Inday Jam-jam’s special message to Mayor Jerry and her “Tita” Rosalie: “May your #GUGMA for one another continue to inspire our fellow Ilonggos.”

According to political analysts, Inday Jam-jam is without a doubt make the point that she and Mayor Jerry remain on good terms despite their socalled political split.

Other political pundits wonder if there is indeed a split. That’s because in politics kuno, what is publicly spoken and seen may not always reflect the true intentions, situations, or outcomes.

And in the case of the city mayor and the congresswoman kuno, there might be surprises along the way until the last day of the filing of certificates of candidacy this October.

Are Ilonggos ready to be surprised?
