Mother’s Day signals summer at Blue Bay Walk

-

FAMILY and friends can look forward to a rewarding and fun-filled summer experience without going far out of town, with exciting activities right at Blue Bay Walk in Pasay City—the latest lifestyle destination in Metro Manila by real estate developer Federal Land.

This al fresco, pedestrian-friendly mall is a refreshing innovation with its wide open spaces and low-rise structures housing an array of shopping outlets, leisure establishments and hip restaurants. It is located near the famed Manila Bay, conveniently integrated into the mixed-use Metro Park in Edsa corner Macapagal Boulevard.

This year, Blue Bay Walk offers a family summer experience with a line-up of activities under its “Summer Lovin’” campaign, happening on weekends of May starting with a special celebration of Mother’s Day on May 9. Festivities include a dedication wall for special messages, and a photo booth to capture mom’s picture-perfect pose. Arts and crafts activities will also be available the whole day starting at 10 a.m.

The rest of the weekends will carry through the arts and crafts theme, where kids and adults alike can avail of a variety of workshops and learning activities such as making their own fun summer playthings-pinwheels, flower crowns, and paper mache figurines. Precious bonding moments can also be enjoyed with a special kite making and flying activity at the Garden of Blue Bay Walk.

A special Summer Photo Booth at the central Spine transports Blue Bay Walk visitors right to the beach! Take a selfie with a fun seaside backdrop complete with beach accessories and props, or choose to bring home a special memory of the event with the official photographer on standby. Those who post a selfie on social media using the hashtag #BBWSummerlovin can stand a chance to win as best photo and get a gift certifi- cate or special prize from Blue Bay Walk stores.

On May 30, food trucks invade Blue Bay Walk with Filipino-Mexican fusion from Hungry Rover, Schmidts’ hotdogs, Jasper’s chicken and Great Burger. On May 31, Ser Chef’s lechon and Truck Bun’s international sandwiches join the selection. Enjoy picnic-style family bonding or leisurely snacks with friends with food offerings from the food trucks at the Garden.

To cap off the summer festival, Blue Bay Walk patrons will be treated to “Sounds of Summer,” a special musical performance on May 30 at 6 p.m. at The Garden area. It will be top-billed by some of the country’s sought-after acoustic singers and balladeers Luke Mijares, Jimmy Bondoc, Paolo Santos and DJ Myke.

Summer in the city feels more special indeed only at Blue Bay Walk, with its bayside atmosphere and family-friendly choices for fun and entertainment.
