MANILA (June 24, 2015) -- An event in partnership with the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. called the 'Breast Day Ever' happened last June 24, 2015 at the SM Megamall, 5th Level Bridgeway. Gathering a total of 90 participants ranging from young women to the elderly. With its aim to address common misconceptions about breast cancer, the event had 4 sessions that each tackled different aspects of the disease together with notable speakers from the East Avenue Medical Center.

The event also featured small activities that tested each participants' newly gained knowledge, testimonies from a patient and survivor who are under the care of the foundation and short spiels by Human Nature and UHappyEvents mirroring PFBCI's advocacy.

It wouldn't be the 'Breast Day Ever' without some fun group games and time to eat while sharing stories from their fellow 'breast friends'. Food was served by FitFuel and Tapsi ni Vivian for lunch while Aly's Cookies and Celina's Cupcakes took the spotlight during snack time. HappyPod provided each group with selfiepods to document their time together in each session, Insular Life and Fatima Medical School provided stationery material for the guests to take down their notes while Marks & Spencer and Nail! It Salon gave away prizes to the lucky winners.

Towards the end of the event, all guests were given giveaways by Human Nature, Pantene, Styles Salon and Eblouissant, all packed in goodie bags by Carisse while the speakers were appreciated through tokens by Estee Lauder.

The 'Breast Day Ever' is not only just a thesis event to its proponents (Patricia Velasco, Amanda Arambulo and Fideliz Cimatu of De La Salle University), but an event that wants to spearhead more people, especially young women, to become more aware of their breasts and to take good care for them to avoid acquiring breast cancer.
