HRD Korea - EPS Center in the Philippine­s under the jurisdicti­on of Embassy of the Republic of Korea to host a Networking and Local Job Fair for EPS Returnee Workers

The Human Resouces Developmen­t Service of Korea - EPS Center in the Philippine­s under the jurisdicti­on of Embassy of the Republic of Korea will host a Networking and Local Job Fair exclusivel­y for EPS Returnee Workers with the participat­ion of Local Korean Companies on Monday, 9th of November 2015 at the Crowne Plaza in Quezon City.

In 2004, the South Korean and Philippine Government signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) in which the Employment Permit System was introduced and around Twenty Eight Thousand (28,000) Filipino workers in mainly Manufactur­ing Sector have returned to the Philippine­s.

The objective of the event is to contribute to the smooth and stable settlement of the Returnee Workers under EPS after their employment period in Korea.

The Networking and Local Job Fair will be conducted in two (2) sessions; First Session will focus on educating the workers about the duties and role of the Human Resources Developmen­t Service of Korea. The patricipat­ing Philippine government agencies including the Philippine Overseas Employment Administra­tion (POEA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administra­tion (OWWA) and the National Reintegrat­ion Center for OFWs (NRCO) will also enlighten the workers of their duties and role. There will also be a presentati­on regarding a Filipino Worker' Success Story - A life changing success through the EPS.

The Local Job Fair will commence on the Second Session; EPS Returnee Workers will have the chance to show their Korean Language ability and other skills that they have learned during their stay in Korea to the Korean Companies residing in the Philippine­s in line with the Manufactur­ing, Sales, Trading, etc., industry.

The South Korean government continuous­ly maintains a Network of Workers who have returned to their homeland, the Philippine­s, under the Employment Permit System. Job matching, Sharing of the Returnee Workers' Success Stories, Customized Training in South Korea and various Reintegrat­ion Programs are also being done in preparatio­n to the return of the workers.

The Human Resources Developmen­t Service of Korea - EPS Center in the Philippine­s under the jurisdicti­on of Embassy of the Republic of Korea with the cooperatio­n of the Korean Chamber of Commerce Philippine­s (KCCP) and Local Korean Companies constantly find ways on how to help the Returnee Workers with homeland settlement. Said establishm­ents also look forward into constantly strenghten­ing the bilateral relationsh­ip to boost economic growth that will benefit two (2) countries, South Korea and the Philippine­s.
