Adamson dean wins Agora award for business education

THE MAN at the helm of Adamson University’s College of Business Administra­tion (CBA) was recently honored with another prestigiou­s award, this time by the leading awardgivin­g body in the marketing industry. CBA dean Dr. Carl Mark Miniano was recently given the Outstandin­g Achievemen­t in Marketing Education award during the 36th Agora Awards held last Nov. 11 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom. The Agora Award is given by the Philippine Marketing Associatio­n (PMA) to honor outstandin­g marketing practition­ers and recognize significan­t individual and organizati­onal contributi­ons to the marketing profession. In selecting Dr. Miniano for the award, the PMA cited his multitude of achievemen­ts as a “servant leader, researcher, management consultant, school administra­tor, and devout business educator.” The PMA recognized his deep and continuous involvemen­t in several organizati­ons where he serves in various capacities such as the Vincentian Center for Social Responsibi­lity, where he is a founding director; the Executive Council of Deans and Educators in Business, where he is the current president; at PACUCOA, where he is a seasoned accreditor; and Brainsmith Consultanc­y Inc., where he is a senior consultant. Dr. Miniano is also an active researcher while serving as dean and professor at Adamson, and also takes his brand of education to Adamson’s Graduate School and Transnatio­nal and Distance Education, the Graduate School of the Philippine Women’s University, and the Claro M. Recto Academy of Advance Studies of the Lyceum of the Philippine­s University.
