Inflatable Island, Oxygen looks and sushi gelato

- By Vinz Lamorena

Sushi gelato

Have you ever imagined eating gelato with a pair of chopsticks? We loved Gelatofix’s handmade and bite-size sushi ice cream creations. They really turned a raw idea into an inventive creation—borrowing the very nature of sushi itself. The ginger maki, in particular, was the real deal. It tasted a lot like a traditional soft mochi with sesame seeds for that additional crunch, and just a bit of mango jam for a surprising tang.

BLIIMO app

We found the perfect app to help you travel and experience the best of the Philippines. Bliimo is a homegrown mobile app that lets you discover and book over 400 different activities in the country—from accommodations, mountain hiking, diving classes and even private island hopping that’s fit for any kind of budget.

That’s not even the best part! You can plan your entire trip with their drag-and-drop itinerary building in-app option. It’s the first of its kind—cool, right? So if you’re also the responsible one in your travel group, BLIIMO will be your ultimate best friend slash travel assistant—you can already book everyone’s activities and entire schedule with just a couple of taps!

Must-cop Oxygen runway looks

Denim on denim is a trend we don’t want to let go of. We saw Oxygen pair its skirts and trucker jackets in matching colors to make for a good terno. The fanny pack has also resurrected in today’s style, although it’s given a new name—the bum bag (Oxygen has theirs in lilac!). Oxygen’s pastel one-piece swimsuits were the new flattering bodysuit paired with jeans, and tie-dye shirts were batting to make a comeback.

Inflatable Island

Inflatable Island added a new attraction to their floating jungle of fun. The Unicorn Island has the cutest unicorn, narwhal and rainbow inflatables that you’d want to play around in. These were added to make the extreme water sports course less intimidating and more fun for everyone! Make sure you try Inflatable Island’s Tarzan Swing and Human Launcher for an unforgettable visit. The Bali lounge also changed to shades of pink and purple for that new pop of color!

ForMe’s tropical store

There is a newly built floor inside Mall of Asia that not much people are aware of. But on the third floor’s unexplored south wing exists a summer oasis. The newest ForMe store welcomes you to lounge in its Bali beach-inspired setup. Each corner of the store is irresistibly Instagrammable and a sure hit for millennial pink lovers. Here you’ll be surrounded by the prettiest of things, from color-washed beach benches, towering cacti, flamingo statues, and decorative mirrors that are perfect for selfies. Trust us, you’re gonna wanna hang out here—and shop, of course!

Drinks for Pride Month

If you’re looking for color this Pride Month, you’ll find a good mix at Macao Imperial Tea. Their Over the Rainbow is a refreshing and creamy soda drink that fuses four different fruit flavors.

Don’t leave without getting a taste of their iced special drinks called For You (caramel macchiato) and For Me (strawberry milk tea). These come in twin glass tumblers with bear-shaped lids. (Super tip: Bring your reusable tumbler on your next visit and get a discount.)

This couple drink was also previously called 1314, with the numbers 13 and 14 translating to “forever” when said together in Mandarin. It also took on the name “For Him” and “For Her,” but the brand felt that the drinks shouldn’t alienate, but instead keep in mind those in the LGBTQ community as well.

It has since been called “For You” and “For Me.” But if Super was in control, we’ll rename the drinks as “All For Me” since both are so good you wouldn’t want to choose between the two.
