Starbucks rolls out PH merch
Your best shot of the Philippines might just score a set of limited-edition Starbucks merch this Independence Day.
OnJune 12, Starbucks will roll out the Island Series Collection consisting of mugs and Starbucks cards in three designs representing the Philippines’ major island groups.
Individually priced at P995, the Philippine exclusive 16-oz mugs each come in a collector’s box. These will be sold at the design’s location (Luzon mugs only in Luzon and so on), just like You Are Here drink ware.
The corresponding Starbucks cards can also be had with an initial activation fee of P500.
Tip: Check out the Starbucks airport stores which carries all three designs.
Island love
The Luzon mug and card features the urban cityscape of the business district at night. The chic ceramic mug is done in multiple shades of blue—matte with an embossed glossy decal, highlighted with gold foil (so do not microwave).
Visayas is blessed with beautiful beaches, and the Starbucks Island Series items for the region showcase just that. The matte yellow and ochre mug carries a tropical design—sampaguita and palm frond done in heavy debossed outline.
The Mindanao merch, on the other hand, displays the iconic geometric vinta. The ceramic mug is done in smooth bordeaux with an elegant low-key sail design, while the colorful card shows three vinta sailing in the sea.
Super contest
To celebrate Independence Day, Super is giving away six sets of the Island Series Collection courtesy of Starbucks Philippines. Each set has one mug and a card preloaded with P500.
