Led by its multi-award-winning Hyundai Tucson, the Korean auto giant Hyundai was recently included among the top three brands of the 2018 edition of the prestigious Initial Quality Study by J.D. Power.

The Hyundai brand has also been named the Most Satisfying Popular Brand in AutoPacific’s 2018 Vehicle Satisfac- tion Awards.

Hyundai ranked first in this survey of 58,000 new vehicle owners covering 40 criteria.

Notably, the Elantra took the top spot in the compact car category.

“The JD Power Initial Quality Study represents a big jump from our eighth- place ranking in 2017. The Hyundai Tucson also received recognition from JD Power as best performing among Hyundai vehicles in the survey.

"On the other hand, the AutoPacific’s 2018 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards is an annual survey that measures the number of mechanical problems and issues that new vehicle owners experience during the first 90 days of ownership.

"Indeed, we at Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. ( Hari), Hyundai’s exclusive distribution partner in the Philippines, welcome the release of these two recent international survey results that affirm Hyundai’s identity as the Filipino’s lifetime mobility partner,” said Hari president and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.

Agudo adds the recognition of the company’s unrivalled product quality comes on the heels of Hari’s blockbuster first quarter of 2018, when it earned three awards for its world-class service.

“We received awards for excellence in Commercial Vehicles, Passenger Car sales, and Customer Satisfaction in After Sales. With Hyundai, customers know that they are not just driving vehicles of the highest quality; they are also signing up for unparalleled after- sales service,” Agudo said.

It should be noted that Hari being the official distributor of Hyundai passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the Philippines, has been hailed four times as Hyundai Asia- Pacific Distributor of the Year ( 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2013), and Hyundai Global Distributor of the Year 2010 and 2016.

Agudo relates that Hari boasts a 42-strong dealer network, superior after- sales, dealer and customer relations support, and an enviable roster of best-selling commercial and passenger vehicles.
