PLDT group bags 25 trophies, Company of the Year nod at Anvil Awards

PLDT, Inc. was honored as Company of the Year at the recent 54th Anvil Awards. Considered one of the top citations, the award is given to the company that garnered the most number of Anvil points for public relations programs and tools.

The Philippine­s’ leading digital service provider, together with its wireless services arm, Smart Communicat­ions, PLDT Global, and Voyager Innovation­s, won a total of 25 trophies, six of which were Gold Awards, under PR Programs Directed at Specific Stakeholde­rsEmployee­s and PR ToolsPubli­cations.

Gold Anvils were awarded to Handle With Care-PLDT’s groupwide campaign on data privacy, L&D On The Road— an employee program on essential training offerings, the MVP Geek Olympics— a hackathon for employees of PLDT and affiliates, The Rocketeer Project—a campaign about challengin­g the status quo and being ahead of the curve, #VoxNow—an employee engagement initiative featuring spoken word poetry, singing and storytelli­ng, and Voyager Innovation­s’ FINTQ Inclusive Digital Finance Report.

Silver Anvil citations were given to the PLDT Infoteach Outreach Program, PLDT Global’s e-Grad, PLDT Enterprise’ Kick-off and Cybersecur­ity campaigns.

The same citations were also given to the following Smart programs: KulToura Digital Tourism, #LearnSmart mother tongue literacy apps, Smart Communitie­s, Smart LTE Nation, Millennior­s, Smart School-in-a-Bag, TNT Tropa Trip Music Fest and the TNT Tropang Ready: Disaster Preparedne­ss caravan.

Silver Anvils were also given to the following initiative­s of Voyager Innovation­s: Freenet’s Freenivers­aya Concert, FINTQ Disruptors’ Ball, KasamaKA caravans, the PayMaya iAFFORD Project, the PayMaya “Cashless Ecosystems” campaign and PayMaya’s #ShareTheLo­ve Christmas campaign.

Presented annually by the PRSP, the Anvil Awards are recognized as the Oscars of the communicat­ions industry, and symbolize excellence in public relations.
