BREITLING’S PREMIER COLLECTION
In the 1940s, Breitling introduced its first collection of truly elegant watches which defined by the brand’s fashionable flair. Now, the new Breitling Premier collection combines purpose with style, delivering quality, performance, and a reminiscent yet timeless design highlighting the watchmaker’s proud legacy.
The new Breitling Premier collection is composed of five distinct models that not only just simply taking its old collection namesake but drawing inspiration for the models created in the 1940s.
According to Breitling CEO Georges Kern, he explains the role the Premier models watches play in the brand’s product portfolio - “This is the first modern Breitling collection dedicated to everyday elegance. With outstanding quality and performance, these watches bear our unmistakable brand DNA, but they have been created with a focus on style that beautifully complements their purpose.” Here’s a look at the various models in the collection.
Premier B01 Chronograph 42
The Premier B01 Chronograph 42 models uses the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 movement and are the flagship watches in the new collection. Developed in-house by Breitling, the Caliber 01 is a self- winding, chronometer-certified chronograph has an impressive power reserve of over 70 hours.
Presented in a hefty 42mm stainless steel case and a transparent caseback, it is available with a dark blue or silver dial, and a choice of blue alligator leather or brown nubuck strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The clean dial design and layout features contrasting black subdials with a chronograph minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a small second subdial at 9 o’clock, along with a date window at 6 o’clock. Each model has a white tachymeter scale on a black inner bezel around the dial.
Premier Chronograph 42
The Premier Chronograph 42 uses a Breitling Caliber 13 chronometer movement. The Breitling Premier Chronograph 42 features chronograph minute and hour counters at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively, as well as a small second subdial at 9 o’clock. It also comes with a 42mm stainless steel case, and is available with either a blue or a black dial featuring a white tachymeter ring with a black scale.
Premier Automatic 40
This model best represents the elegant watches from the 1940s Breitling models. A stainless steel case houses the Breitling Caliber 37, a self-winding mechanical chronometer movement. It is available with an anthracite, blue, or a silver dial. The clean dial is encircled by a white minute track and elegantly finished with a small second subdial at 6 o’clock. Each dial option is available with either a nubuck or alligator leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
Premier Automatic Day & Date 40
The Breitling Premier Automatic Day & Date has a window that tells you the day of the week and the date at the 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively. Powered by Breitling’s Caliber 45, it is a self-winding chronometer movement. This model comes in either a black or a silver dial and has either a stainless steel bracelet or a nubuck or alligator leather strap.
Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green
This model celebrates Breitling’s long-standing partnership with Bentley Motors, and aside from this watch, all future Bentley limited edition timepieces will form part of Breitling’s existing collections and will no longer be introduced as a separate Bentley collection.
Powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 mechanical movement, the movement can b seen through its transparent caseback. This watch features a striking British racing green dial and is available with either a stainless steel bracelet or a matching British racing green leather strap. The contrasting subdials are located at 3 and 9 o’clock, while the date window is at 6 o’clock.
A specially engraved plate inscribed with the Bentley name on the left side of the case was inspired by the dashboard of the famous supercharged 1929 “Blower” Bentley, and its transparent caseback shows a metalized Bentley logo distinguishing this model from other watches in the collection.
