‘My Sassy Girl’ picks Mcqueen’s jeweled satchel
My Sassy Girl” actress Jun Ji-hyun has been named by Alexander Mcqueen its house ambassador for Korea. She will model the Autumn-winter 2020 collection.
Released in 2001, “My Sassy Girl” is the highest grossing Korean comedy film of all time and one of the best known Korean movies in the Philippines and across Asia. It is generally acknowledged to have triggered the Korean wave.
In the fashion collection, Jun sports Mcqueen’s famous jeweled satchel in the bag’s many iterations, inspired by the themes and colors of autumn and winter.
The bag has the house’s signature jeweled handle featuring the Mcqueen skull. Designed to fit only essentials, it has one main compartment with a card pocket.
Available now is The Story shoulder bag, featuring a slightly larger version of Mcqueen’s modern metal handle and a new woven chain. A day-to-evening design, it can be worn over the shoulder, via the chain strap, or hand-held—carried as a clutch—through the front metal handle with the chain passed through the leather loops either side and attached below the bag for a smooth finish.
The Story has one main compartment, which has a leather card holder and a front zip pocket to ensure easy access to all your essentials. Finishings include the leather knotted whipstitch and the seasonal gold eyelets. The Story is now available.
