Dear Ma Pen,
It’s not every day that I get to write a letter to you. You know I’m not the mushy type of daughter who responds sweetly to every task and bilin that you give. Nor am I the obedient one among your brood who follows your every word.
But beyond our differences and our little arguments, we remain solid as a family. And that’s what’s important. Because you are our fortress, the tie that binds us together. And for that I am grateful and blessed to be your daughter.
You are the biggest influence in my life. I don’t show it a lot but I greatly respect your opinions and value our relationship.
You have made us the center of your life. No doubt about that. You have focused your whole life giving us what we need. You have nurtured us not only with your love, but also your care and protection.
I am amazed at how you did it all. You’re our superwoman. Thank you, Mom, for always staying strong in every aspect. You’ve done an amazing job raising three daughters singlehandedly.
Thank you for giving us a normal childhood and making us feel that we are still a complete family. Thank you for giving us the best education and helping us to achieve our goals.
I know my thank yous are not enough for all the sacrifices that you have made. Believe us, your children, when we say that we will take care of you and your needs always. You can always count on that.
Looking forward to making more happy memories with you, and we’ll continue to spoil you when we can.
