Fashion house releases comic strip inspired line of apparel and accessories

-

FOR 2015, Solo’s Pinoy Cartoonist Memorabilia Series pays tribute to Roni Santiago’s “Baltic and Co.”

The hilarious “komik” strip about hotheaded boss Baltic and his employees—Miss Tapia the cashier, Mr. Golem the accountant, Tom and Bong, clerks and Dyani the janitor—is the longest running Filipino comic strip. Created by Roni Santiago in the 1970s, it is still ongoing and serialized in Manila Bulletin.

A graduate of BS Architecture in Feati University, Santiago as a boy loved to read comic strips by American and Filipino cartoonists, especially the late Larry Alcala.

This fun and comical collection is composed of collared tees decked in all-over prints, humorously drawn characters and amusing comic strip scenes. Solo also offers graphic tees, dresses, bottoms and matching his and hers couple shirts in eye-catching and fun prints that everyone, especially the youth, will definitely enjoy. These are possible cool gift items also for the holidays.
