DLSU presents award of honor to distinguished public servant
In recognition of his invaluable contributions to the field of governance and public service, De La Salle University presented the Signum Meriti Medal to one of its notable students, Rogelio Lazo Singson, at the University’s 178th Commencement Exercises which was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) last Feb. 25. Singson earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City in 1971 and pursued his Master’s in Public and Business Management at De La Salle University. He had served the government in various ad- ministrative capacities. Singson has worked in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), Fort Bonifacio Development Corp., John Hay Poro Point Development Corp., the BCDA Management Holdings Inc., North Luzon Railways Corp., Clark Development Corp., Clark International Airport Corp., among many others. The Signum Meriti Medal is a special University Award of Honor given to outstanding individuals for their exemplary leadership and service in their respective fields or industries.
