Two Filipinos are about to take their young football careers to Germany where they will join the training camp of famed sports club FC Bayern Munich.

Jan Meir Mitra of De La Salle Zobel, Konrad Keim Sollorin of Iloilo, Aeron Christian Tenollar of Baguio and Michael Antillo at Archie Dela Cruz of Don Bosco will fly to Bali, Indonesia, next week for the three-day Allianz Junior Football Camp to be con- ducted by Bayern youth coach Maximillian Knauer and retired Brazilian striker Giovane Elber.

They will vie for two of the five slots to the Germany camp set late August against players from China, India, among others.

The Philippine representatives aged 14 to 16 years were chosen during the recent National Youth Futsal Cup organized by Allianz PNB Life, Philippine Football Federation (PFF) and Henry V. Moran Foundation.

“When you are in the field, you have to make sure that you work as a team and you develop self-discipline,” said Allianz PNB Life branding communications and digital director Rei Abrazaldo during the media presentation Tuesday at Ayala Museum Cafe in Makati.

Jess Landangan was assigned by the PFF to handle the Filipinos’ Bali camp.
