Vow of poverty puts brakes on priest’s Porsche
A Polish priest who caused a scandal for driving a Porsche is selling the luxury car and giving the proceeds to the poor. Rev. Wieslaw Maciaszek, parish priest of the village of Kasina Wielka, issued a written apology for driving a car worth at least $110,000. But while some parishioners were scandalized, others came to his defense.
