‘My life is not your porn,’ Korean women cry
Thousands of South Korean women gathered in Seoul on Saturday to demand stronger government action against menwho spread intimate photos and videos taken by hidden cameras. Police said about 18,000 took part in the women-only protest, with demonstrators carrying placards saying “My life is not your porn” and calling for stronger investigations and punishments against men who photograph or film women without their knowledge and post the material online. Amid rising criticism, South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Tuesday ordered government officials to explore tougher punishments for hidden-camera crimes and also ensure that the perpetrators’ actions are immediately notified to employers.—
