Isuzu lauds Cebu truckfest, credits PHbuilding spree

Over the course of President Duterte’s six-year term, some P7 trillion are expected to be poured into the country’s infrastructure sector, which means new bridges and roads, and more railways, urban mass transport systems, airports and seaports.

Amid this building spree will be the need for more heavy-duty trucks. “Heavy-duty truck sales are running at the highest pace in years, as truck orders double amid a huge demand to haul building materials and supplies,” notes Isuzu Philippines Corp. president Hajime Koso during the company’s recently sponsored truck expo in Cebu City.

The Isuzu Truck Fest was held at the Northwing Covered Parking of SM City Cebu last July 6 to 8.

The vehicles displayed during the 2018 Truck Fest-Cebu highlighted the versatility and flexibility of Isuzu light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as its light commercial vehicle the D-Max pickup FlexiQube, and even the QKR modernized jeepney prototype with body designed and built by local partners Almazora and Santarosa.

11th edition

“Now on its 11th year, this much-anticipated Isuzu Truck Fest, just like in previous editions, displayed our best, biggest, most durable and versatile trucks suitable for every use and every road and weather condition,” describes Koso.

Koso welcomed the fact that the Truck Fest would be held for the 2nd time in Cebu City (the first one was held July 2013). “Cebu has always been among the most important and strategic market areas for IPC, being the hub of commerce and transport in the Visayas region. The region has contributed significantly to the achievement of IPC as the consistent number one truck brand in the Philippines for 18 continuous years.”

“The decision of whether to buy a used or new truck is mostly a matter of expense. Buying a new truck may be more expensive, however, a brand new one like what our buyers will buy here, comes with extensive warranty covering all sorts of issues. This can provide major peace of mind and save you money on maintenance or repairs,” says Koso.

He also adds that those who already bought or are still considering will be able to enjoy full knowledge of the truck’s history.

Big reason

“This is another big reason why our buyers decide to get a new one. They reasoned out that they they buy used trucks, there are always going to be some unknown issues, they hardly will know exactly how well-maintained the truck has been, or what issues have come up with it. Whereas when you buy brand new truck, you’re in complete control and, as long as you know you will take good care of it, you’ll probably get a long, great life out of the truck,” adds IPC Sales Division head Joseph Bautista.

Koso adds: “Isuzu is known globally for its durable and dependable trucks that can withstand challenging business operations. What is more important, though, is the support we provide to our clients along with every purchase. This is the Isuzu Advantage.”

The Isuzu Advantage is the sum of IPC’s different customer support programs bolstering its world-class lineup of vehicles.

The first advantage refers to IPC’s lineup of durable, reliable, fuel-efficient vehicles.

The second is its nationwide dealer network that now counts over 41 outlets complete with servicing facilities.

The third is the reliable and prompt nationwide parts availability.

Finally, IPC’s team of expert service technicians and field support personnel are on call to provide technical assistance whenever and wherever needed.

“The key to our success does not lie solely on the sale of our trucks. It’s also largely due to the full service that comes with every purchase,” assures Koso.

For the 2018 Truck Fest-Cebu, IPC partnered with financial institutions BPI, BDO, Maybank, Sterling, Orix Metro Leasing, and SBM Leasing Inc. Freebie coupons worth P10,000 of Isuzu parts were also offered for attending customers.
