If it’s not for a grand ho­tel-hosted af­fair (which are al­ways fab­u­lous) or a life-chang­ing pro­posal (yes, there have been a few), The Lobby of the Penin­sula Manila just has such a glam­orous old world time­less charm to it such that peo­ple will al­ways find a rea­son to cel­e­brate here.

The lounge can at times get a tad busy but the inim­itable am­bi­ence and peo­ple watch­ing is well worth it. A clas­sic that tourists and Filipinos alike will love is the chicken and pork adobo. The Penin­sula Schüblig sausage is fill­ing yet not too heavy–a great lobby lounge dish. The ho­tel is fa­mous for its halo-halo and for a good rea­son.
