The Tatler Dining Guide Philippines
Kyo-To
WHY GO
For a truly sophisticated kaiseki meal, make your way to Kyo-To, a high-end traditional Japanese restaurant, which has no name on its façade. Adopting a zen motif throughout—from its aesthetics to the entire dining experience, Kyo-To is a nice quiet escape. At the 12-seater bar, you will be served and eat right in front of the talented chef himself.
TATLER TIPS
The kaiseki meal, which consists of seven to eight courses, depending on the day, leaves out à la carte options. The intricate and skillfully created menu changes in accordance to what fresh or seasonal ingredients are in the kitchen. If available, indulge in the freshest scallop sashimi, the fried oyster (very juicy), the grilled OHMI wagyu beef, and the delicate grilled kimchi fish. Pair with a good chardonnay or sake.
