New iN the Family
The Omega Speedmaster 38mm, which has been baptised as Cappuccino due to its taupe-brown elements, is part of a new unisex collection. The Speedmaster’s iconic design is retained, but has been updated to reflect a more refined aesthetic. It boasts a 38mm diametre stainless steel and 18K Sedna™ (an alloy of gold, copper, and palladium that Omega has used in several of its timepieces) case and a taupe-brown leather strap.
Features such as the diamond-pavéd bezel and 18K Sedna™ gold hands and indexes add a touch to elegance to an otherwise typically sporty design. Also present is the tachymetre scale on a brown aluminium ring, a trademark of all timepieces in the Speedmaster line. It also features a bi-coloured dial and oval subdials, two of which are chronograph counters and the other a small seconds counter. A date window is positioned at 6 o’clock.
As with any Speedmaster timepiece, the caseback is stamped with the seahorse medallion. It is powered by Omega’s Calibre 3300, complete with co-axial technology and a silicon balance spring.
