Editor’s Note
his month, we unveil one of the most awaited issues in our roster; one that features our annual 400 list, a compendium of the who’s who in the country. In the 21st century, that phrase has evolved and is reserved not only for those who belong to prominent families but for individuals who have made notable achievements and contributions to society. To place it succinctly, if you want to know the 400 most influential personalities in this country, here’s your list!
April also marks our Men’s Issue. This month, we, along with the other Asia Tatler magazines feature the top 50 tech entrepreneurs in the region. Representing the Philippines are Nix Nolledo, Paul Rivera, Bjorn Pardo, Paolo Azzola, Chow Paredes, and Farouk Meralli. These people are shaping the country in a major way, a good enough reason to highlight their work and contributions.
This month, we replace our ‘ Tatlings’ page with ‘ Gen T,’ highlighting men and women 40 and below, who are making a name for themselves. It’s assuring to see that our future is in the hands of a generation that is motivated not only by personal success but by a desire to help others, as well as the environment. Be sure to watch out for our annual Gen T launch this July.
Speaking of generations, we also delve into the generation gap, investigating how similar and different we are because of the environment and times we were born in. From the Silent Generation to today’s Gen Z, see how much we have evolved—with emphasis on how pop culture, political ideologies, morals, and attitudes towards religion have helped shape us as a society. We also showcase state of the art sports cars; our annual roundup of the men’s s/ s 2017 international runway collections; an interview with celebrated chef Mario Batali; an eyecatching home by modern architect- designer Carlo Calma, and so much more!
See you next month for our Art Issue!
