The final instalment of Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians trilogy is also a precursor to an upcoming film

Kevin Kwan’s motley crew of Singaporean socialites returns in the madcap Rich People Problems, the final book in a trilogy first published in 2013. In Rich People Problems, matriarch Su Yi is on her deathbed and one grandson will stop at nothing in order to get the bulk of the family estate. It’s a rollicking romp through Singapore, Shanghai, and parts of Europe as readers play catch-up with familiar characters—plus, a quick stop in Manila has some surprising high society cameos from Doris Hoh, China Cruz, and Timmy Yap.

Also in the works is the upcoming film based on Crazy Rich Asians. At press time, it was announced that director Jon M Chu will be at the helm and the cast currently includes Asian icon Michelle Yeoh with Constance Wu and Henry Golding in the lead roles.
