AFRIKABURN
South Africa’s answer to Nevada’s legendary Burning Man Festival is a wild and wonderful six days of fire, festivities and art installations on a private farm called Stonehenge in the arid semidesert of Northern Cape roughly 300 kilometres from Cape Town. THE PROMS, LONDON
Its name is short for promenade concerts, and it’s a hugely popular festival of classical music held at the Royal Albert Hall and other venues. The series comprises 92 concerts between July and September with tickets priced as low as £5. Conductors lead orchestras through a wide range of music by composers such as Beethoven, Wagner and Bruckner—and even Hollywood film scores. SINGAPORE ART WEEK
The 12-day fair returns in January 2018 with more than 100 events ranging from art shows and gallery openings to art walks around the city— plenty for art lovers of all ages, interests and experience. artweek.sg
SÃO PAULO BIENNALE
Initiated in 1951, the Bienal de São Paulo is the second oldest art festival of its type in the world after the Venice Biennale.
