Gorenje seeks to change the game in the kitchen appliances scene

Slovenian home brand Gorenje opens its doors in the Philippine­s with a goal to provide stylish and functional kitchen appliances

Apremium home brand that puts its users fi rst —this is the core of Gorenje’s identity. The Slovenian home appliance brand recently made its way to Philippine shores. The company is famed for its slogan ‘Life Simplifi ed,’ which is incorporat­ed in everything that they do.

True to its word, Gorenje offers a usercentri­c experience unlike any other. Their appliances are durable, practical, and economical. As Ignatius David, the president of Gorenje’s exclusive distributo­r IODHome Inc, puts it, “Our customers never have to choose between form and function because we strike a balance between both.”

Each product’s form is evident in its sleek design, which makes the pieces fi t any kitchen setting. Their visage is also deceptive, in the best way possible— beneath those clean lines are innovative feautures that make the appliances technologi­cally advanced. Even their basic offerings are designed with features that would otherwise be called special, such as soft-closing doors and touch control panels. Apart from their primary selections, the brand also has designer lines that inject each designer’s artistry into their kitchen appliances.

Internatio­nally acclaimed designer Philippe Starck’s collaborat­ion with Gorenje boasts of a minimalist­ic design with reflective surfaces. This is a direct expression of Starck’s intent, which is to create pieces that reflect the homeowner’s personalit­y.

French designer Ora Ïto finds beauty in mixing the simple and complex, and such is evident in his collection. Black exteriors with silver accents exude a strength in his designs, that give off a vibe that is both futuristic and classic.

Gorenje takes care of the kitchen problems that would often go unnoticed, but when resolved show just how much effort is exerted on them. “Our goal is to be the brand of choice for the Filipino family,” says David. With products designed for a life of ease, such a goal could easily be achieved.

Gorenje’s appliances are on display in their showroom with its fully-functional kitchen available for use, at 165 Legazpi St, Legazpi Village, Makati City.
