Jennifer Gates

The 21-year-old daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates has been riding since she was six and showjumping competitively since entering her teens. To support their daughter, the tycoons bought two equestrian estates—the US$18 million, 92-hectare Rancho Paseana in California and an US$8.7 million property in Wellington, Florida. The investment is paying off; Gates won the US Equestrian Federation Under-25 National Championship in November last year.
