Patrick Ho Maxwell and Lorraine Reynolds tie the knot in sunny Barcelona

They met in 2014 on a night out with mutual friends, with Lorraine Reynolds accidentally leaving Patrick Ho Maxwell with a mobile number that didn’t work since she had yet to activate her phone. It was only when he reached out through Facebook and invited her to hang out that sparks began to fly between them. Two years later, he asked for her hand in marriage after a romantic dinner, the ring cleverly concealed in a Kinder Surprise egg.

Patrick and Lorraine chose Barcelona, a city where they got to know and truly fell in love with each other, for their three-day celebration. The night before, close friends and family members were invited to welcome drinks at the Soho House and dinner at Asador de Aranda. On 26 May 2018, Lorraine walked down the aisle to meet her husband in a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown; they said their “I do’s” before 230 guests at the Hospital de Sant Pau, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Patrick’s best man was his brother, Jesse Maxwell, while Lorraine’s maids of honour

were Lara Reynolds Zobel and Gaby Pratte. The ceremony was followed by a reception just a few minutes away from the chapel, where everyone was treated to a sumptuous dinner catered by Michelin-starred Chef Nandu Jubany. Everything came together beautifully under the watchful eyes of their wedding planners and Patrick’s mum, Doris Ho.
