5 LGUS TO GET LIST OF ADD'L SAP BENEFEFICIARIES
FIVE local government units in Negros Occidental will receive “clean list” of additional social amelioration program (SAP) beneficiaries anytime within the week.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Merle Garcia revealed yesterday that the five LGUS are E.b.magalona, Victorias City, Sipalay City, Kabankalan City and Candoni.
Garcia explained that these five LGUS were the first to have completely downloaded SAP during the first tranche and the leftout beneficiaries after it had gone through the cross-matching of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office.
Garcia explained that the validation of the records of the first tranche of SAP and the leftout beneficiaries were done in three levels from the local to the regional and then the national office.
She assured that other LGUS will also receive the same additional subsidy once the validation and crossmatching of records will be done by the national office.
Through cross-matching, the national office determines duplication of beneficiaries like for in the case of some stranded individuals who have availed of SAP in the area where he or she was stranded and has also been listed in his hometown.there are also individuals who availed subsidies from SSS and Dole, Garcia explained.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Western Visayas (DSWD-6) revealed yesterday that they will release the initial “clean list” of additional social
amelioration program (SAP) beneficiaries anytime within the week.
Regional Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobe said the payout will happen in 21 local government units (LGUS).
These include three towns in Aklan, two in Antique, seven in Capiz, four in Guimaras, and five in Negros Occidental.
The regional office targets to payout to 19,534 additional SAP beneficiaries, whose names were listed on the first batch of clean list from the Central Office, according to Macapobre.
The regional director said the LGUS were provided with the list of names of the additional SAP beneficiaries for posting.
Likewise, the LGUS are requested to inform their targeted beneficiaries of the schedule of the payout.
The DSWD will now lead the payout but still in partnership with the LGUS, the Department of Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines will assist during the payout.
Those included in the list will be the first to receive PHP6,000 SAP aid once the central office downloads the budget to the regional office.
For the second tranche, only the Iloilo province, Iloilo City, and Bacolod City are covered in WV.
A total of 104,027 members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program on these covered areas already received their top-up SAP aid last June 11.*
