Masskara Queen candidate Helcie Jamili
Miss Sunstar Readers’ Choice Awardee
HEERS filled the atrium area of SM City Bacolod yesterday as Masskara Queen contestant number 2 Helcie Jamili was named the Sunstar Bacolod Readers’ Choice and Ambassadress award.
Jamili, a student of the University of St. La Salle, received the highest social media and print votes.
No less than Sunstar Bacolod business manager Leilanne Kho and Account Executive Primy Rose Villar gave her the award.
She received a sash, a bouquet and a framed photo among others from Sunstar Bacolod.
During the interview round of the pre-pageant activity, she was asked how she can encourage the youth nowadays to read the newspaper.
“For me, I can encourage the youth to simply find (reading) newspapers as exciting as what they are doing because it’s relevant and important nowadays to read newspapers,” she said.
She reiterated that because of the social issues that we are having and to alleviate the problems of the society, it is really important to be well-informed by reading newspapers.
Aside from winning Sunstar Bacolod Readers’ Choice and Ambassadress award, she was also named Ms. Campuestohan Highland Resort.
Meanwhile candidate number 8 Kara Villarosa got the most corporate awards such as Miss SM Store; Miss NCO General Merchandise; Miss Manor Bacolod Choice; Bb. Camella; Miss Vasoh Skin Care Clinic; Miss Mercantile Insurance and Miss Magnolia Timplados.
Candidate number 1 Jhela Velasco was named Miss Elixir Aesthetics, candidate number 3 Chattea Cajucson was named Miss Glam Room and Candidate No. 4 Franches Laguibla was named Miss Mighty Cee
Candidate No. 6 Jan Marie Bordon was named Miss Citrus Zone Refreshment; Miss Skinology and Miss EGY Aesthetics & Medical Spa and Candidate No. 9 Alyssa Villanueva was named Miss Lumina.
Candidate No. 11 Eirine Granada was named Miss Salon DI Belleza; Miss Fitwhite, The House of Glutatione & Aesthetics while Candidate No. 12 Sandale Masangcay was named Miss Esthetica Hair & Wellness Hub; Miss Lion’s Park; Miss
Studio Grey; Miss Aida’s Chicken; Miss The Flower Studio.
Candidate No. 14 Janine Gelera was named Miss Jetti Petroleum and Candidate No. 15 Teresa Brunner was named Miss Learchache Perfume
The Masskara Queens will compete for the crowns such as Miss Bacolod Masskara Universe, Miss Bacolod Masskara World, Miss Bacolod Masskara International.
Other title to given is first and second runners up during the coronation in October 19 at the University of Saint La Salle-bacolod coliseum.*
