ACOLODNONS, are you excited to see the colorful and vibrant Masskara festival giant masks and the full costumes to be worn by the 17 barangay dance contingents in the Masskara street dance and arena competition this coming October 23?

You can have a glance or have your photos taken with family and friends at Robinson’s Place Mall in Mandalagan, Bacolod City as these giant masks will greet you once you get inside the mall’s event center right at its main entrance and the full body costumes of the Masskara dancers which are currently displayed at the second floor of the mall.

The giant masks were put up by Barangays 2, 10, 11, 21, Vista Alegre, Montevista, Bata,

Barangay 36, Villamonte and Mansilingan displayed their Masskara giant masks with a description on how the artists and the barangays came up with the designs that depicted the story of the respective barangay.

At the second floor of the mall are the 17 full body costumes of the Masskara festival street dance and arena which will be worn by the dancers during the competition set on October 23, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the arena dance competition to capture the spotlight at the Paglaum Sports Complex.

All these costumes and masks were inspired by the Balik Yuhum theme of this year’s grandest Masskara festival which came very timely after the two-year lull caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

People have shown their excitement on the various events that the grandest Masskara festival has offered in the three-week period of the festivity.*
