A prescribed signages measuring 24 inches by 24 inches will be placed in strategic areas indicating the ordinance number, advisory regarding the status of the designated areas, penalty below the signage and should include the pick and go warning.
Any driver found parking his vehicle at the designated taxi stands or loading area despite no visible passengers to load or there are passengers waiting for the services of other vehicles will be penalized with a fine of P500 and the confiscation of both front and back license plate numbers.
The ordinance added it has been observed drivers park their vehicles along the designated loading and taxi stands for almost half an hour jeopardizing other drivers to pick up waiting passengers.
An appropriation of P1 million will also be earmarked to effectively and immediately enforce the preparations of sign boards intended for installation under the provisions of the measure.
However, in case private corporations, business establishments, and entrepreneurs signify their intent to provide advisories or signboards while advertising their firms, businesses or products, they should first coordinate with the City Engineering Office for a briefing as to the standard size or measurement of the signages and advertisement.
To avoid other vehicles from behind obstructing the passage of other vehicles or prevent double parking or congestions of vehicles along the roads, the no-waiting policy will strictly be followed. Dexter See/ Baguio PIO
