City lauds top 10 taxpayers

TOP business and real estate taxpayers in the city of Baguio were lauded by the city government during the regular flag raising ceremony.

DMCI Project Developers, Inc. is this year’s top business taxpayer while Philippine­s Energy Corporatio­n came in second with CJH Hotel Corporatio­n in thrid.

Rounding up the top 10 business taxpayers are Supervalue, Inc., Mountain Maid Training and Developmen­t Foundation Inc., Puregold Price Club Inc., Imelda Lao, Highland Gaming Corporatio­n, Philippine American Life and General Insurance Co. and Maybank Phils. Inc.

Meanwhile, gaining the top three spots in real property tax payments are Baguio Country Club Corp., Jargo Realty and Developmen­t Corp., and RU AQUINO Constructi­on and Developmen­t Corp.

Included in the top 10 real property taxpayers are Azalea Leisure Residences Corp., Goldencrow­n Group Realty Inc., Charles Ingram T. Ang et. al., Citylight Properties Developmen­t Corp., Ayala Land Inc., Metropolit­an Bank and Trust Co. and Liwayway Martonito.

The top revenue generators in both business and real property taxes were given plaques of appreciati­on from the city government of Baguio.

Twenty percent discount is being given to real property taxpayers who pay from January 1 to 31. While 15 percent discount will be given for those who pay from February 1 to 28 and 10 percent for those who pay from March 1 to 31.
