COTABATO CITY -Joint police, Army and anti-narcotics agents missed a wanted person engaged in illegal drug peddling but arrested his companion during an anti-drug operation in Datu Abdullah Sangki in Maguindanao Sunday night.

Senior Supt. Agustin Tello, Maguindanao police director, said the arrest of Ebrahim Abdullah brought to 16 the number of drug personalities arrested in the past 48 hours in the province.

Tello said elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEArmm), backed by Maguindanao police and elements of 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion first conducted drug buy bust in the house of Abubakar Katua Emblawa alias Jimmy Emblawa in Barangay Talisawa, Datu Abdullah Sangki at around 6 p.m.
