Elementary school burglarized

-

BEKES Elementary School of Buguias, Benguet, is one of the recipient schools of the Philippines DepEd Computerization Program. The DepEd Computerization Program has been providing public schools nationwide with modern technology equipment aimed of improving the teaching-learning process in order to cope up with the progressing challenges of the 21st century.

Unfortunately, in the early morning of June 13, 2017, the teachers of the above-said school noticed that the School Learning Resource Center, where these teaching-learning equipment were installed was forcibly opened. Police attention was promptly notified.

Police initial investigation disclosed that the main and front door of the School Learning Resource Center was forcibly opened by an unidentified suspect/s, which serves as their entry and exit point.

Inventory yielded that the following items were missing: One (1) host PC, one (1) touch enable monitor, one(1) led monitor, four (4) Hasee keyboard and (4) Hasee mouse, one(1) Canon printer-Pixma, four (4) share thin client, and one(1) DVD player with radio and USB. With these missing items, it could be surmised, that there were more than one burglar or perpetrators.

This is to alarm fellow DCP recipient schools to be vigilant and take more necessary precaution to prevent same occurrence and appealing to the public to help recover the above mentioned missing items for the sake of young learners, the future leaders.
