More provincial roads improved under CMGP
TABUK CITY, Kalinga - Two road improvement projects funded under the government’s Conditional Matching Grant for Provinces (CMGP) were recently turned-over to beneficiaries while two new projects had its ground breaking ceremony.
The upgraded 5.85 kilometer Burayucan section of the BulanaoLaya-Balong provincial road costing P75 million was turnedover to the barangay people of Cabaruan, Balong and Laya East.
The P4M worth 4lane to 6-lane Bulanao Market provincial road was also handed over to the Bulanao community.
Meanwhile, Engr. Catherine Joy Leon of the Office of Project Development Services of Department of the Interior and Local Government central office, DILG-Cordillera Regional Director Marlo Iringan, and Acting Gov. James Edduba who presided the project turnover also led the groundbreaking of two new projects.
These are the P99.5M upgrading project covering the 8.25 kilometer Cabaruan-Socbot road and the P74 M worth 6.80 kilometer Cabaritan-Dugpa provincial road. Both were issued the Notice to Proceed work on July 21.
The local road management team announced that five upgrading road projects with total worth of P536M are proposed for CGMP funding in 2018. These are the 7 km.Mallango BelongSumadel provincial road with proposed funding of P87.5M; the 6 km. BalantoyDao-angan road – P75M; the 6.5 km. BalinciagaoMagsilay-Amdalao road – P81M; the 8 km.
